Maple Tree Academy combines the Alberta Curriculum and Mexican Secretary of Public Education programs, in an English immersion setting. We are looking for highly qualified staff to contribute their skills, knowledge and talents towards the high standard of education we strive to achieve in our school.
Seeking Division 1 and Division 2 elementary generalists to teach full time in an elementary homeroom. Maple Tree Academy is a private school.Spanish is not a requirement as instruction will occur in English however, you will be living and working in Mexico! Willingness to learn and adapt is necessary!
PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS
The Reggio Emelia approach creates the base for dual language instruction (English and Spanish). Spanish is not required as a team approach is used to meet the Spanish outcomes.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- University teaching degree in Elementary Education.
- Teaching experience at the Elementary levels.
- Alberta Government issued teaching certificate.
- Proficiency in English.
- Ability to teach in a cross-curricular and 21st Century learning environment.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and professionalism.
- Proactivity in seeking opportunities to integrate information technology into the curriculum.
- Adaptability to new cultures and languages.
- Ability to work within the culture of a Professional Learning Community.
- Ability to work on a team with intercultural teaching partners and other grade team members.
- Experience working with ELL students.
